All of a sudden, conservatives everywhere are shocked, SHOCKED, at Ann Coulter. While I agree wholeheartedly with Sean Hackbarth's sentiments, I nevertheless must say, "too little, too late." As one of the commenters to the linked open letter said, this invective is nothing new for Coulter. Like it or not, she is one of the leading faces of the conservative movement.

You lie down with dogs, and you get up with fleas.

In the letter it states "We [conservatives] should have been more forceful." We failed to do that allowing Coulter to turn it up a notch.

So. When Edwards hired Marcotte, that didn't pertain in any way, and no one had any right to be offended. Coulter speaks at a conservative conventon and the denunciations are "too little, too late?"

So if lying down with Coulter gives one fleas, does lying with Marcotte cause... what? Rabies?

How about lying with Mommy Sheehan? Meglomania?

How about lying with, or sharing a gallery with, Mikey Moore at the Democratic national Convention ? Type 2 diabetes?

How about lying down with Maureen Dowd? I suspect that it would be something we learned about in health class.

"All of a sudden conservatives are 'shocked'? "

That's a falsehood. The Republican party repudiated David Duke. I'll buy this line of garbage when the Democratic party disowns Robert Byrd.

When you lie with Senator Byrd, the 'dean of the Senate', do you turn white as a sheet?
